Terms of Use
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, booking a trial, or using Elkhier, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you register a child for lessons, you confirm that you are a parent or legal guardian acting on that child's behalf.
2. Description of service
Elkhier provides live, one to one online tutoring in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Education.
Every lesson is live with a teacher. Lessons are not pre recorded videos.
A free trial lesson is available so families can meet a teacher and check level before choosing a plan. See Pricing for plan options.
3. Account registration and eligibility
Accounts are created by the parent or guardian. Student profiles for children are managed under that account.
You must provide accurate contact details and keep them up to date so we can reach you about scheduling, billing, and support.
4. Booking, scheduling, and cancellation
After a monthly pack is activated, or an hourly pack is created, you confirm weekly times. The platform then books the dated sessions for that pack month.
You may move a scheduled session to another free slot when the session starts within the near term reschedule window (production default: 48 hours before start) and before the join lock. Exact timings follow the platform configuration in effect at the time.
On monthly packs, student initiated reschedules are limited (production default: 2 moves per pack order). Hourly packs have no count limit inside the same time window. Moves caused by teacher absence do not count toward the monthly quota.
If a student misses a session or never joins after the attendance window, the session credit is generally consumed. If the teacher is absent, the student keeps the credit and may choose another teacher (same subject) or reschedule with the same teacher while the substitution window is open.
You can change, pause, or stop a plan from your dashboard according to the product rules in force. Missed monthly sessions may be rebooked within the same pack month when the rules allow.
5. Payment terms and billing
Monthly plans are prepaid. You upload payment proof; the pack becomes active after admin approval.
Hourly plans are billed from usage at month end. You receive an invoice, upload payment proof, and admin approval marks it paid. An unpaid open invoice can block creating a new hourly pack.
Today there is no card checkout on the site. Billing uses offline payment proof with a reference you provide.
Where the product returns value after a missed or failed session, that return is a session credit or reschedule, not a cash wallet refund, unless we state otherwise in writing for a specific case.
6. Teachers and matching
How we vet teachers is described on our About page. See how we vet teachers.
If the matched teacher is not the right fit, we rematch with another certified teacher at no extra cost, as stated in our public guarantees.
7. Code of conduct
Families and teachers must treat each other respectfully in sessions, chat, and support channels. Abuse, harassment, or misuse of the live classroom may lead to suspension or termination of access.
Parents may sit in on lessons. Session reports help you follow what was taught.
8. Intellectual property
Elkhier platform content, branding, and curriculum materials remain the property of Elkhier or its licensors. You may use them only to take part in the service.
Lessons are delivered live. We do not promise session recordings as a product feature.
9. Limitation of liability
This section needs qualified legal counsel before it can be published as binding language for a cross border education service that processes children's data. Contact us if you need a copy once it is finalized.
10. Termination of service
You may stop using Elkhier and end active plans according to the product rules in your dashboard and these terms.
We may suspend or end access if payment is not completed when required, if conduct rules are broken, or if we must stop providing the service. When a pack ends or is cancelled under product rules, future scheduled sessions for that order are cancelled.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
This section needs qualified legal counsel before it can be published as binding language for a cross border education service that processes children's data. Contact us if you need a copy once it is finalized.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the published version changed. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact for legal inquiries
For questions about these terms, use our Contact page or email contact@elkhier.com. Elkhier operates from Marrakech, Morocco.
